A Painting That Holds Your Story
Every piece I paint begins with something real — a fabric scrap, a flower from a garden, a favourite childhood item. A commission means I get to do that for your family.
Whether it's a fragment of your mother's wedding dress, the flowers from your grandmother's garden, or a bouquet that marks a milestone — a birth, a marriage, an anniversary, a life well lived — I paint it in the same hyper-realistic style you see throughout my work: slow, detailed, and made to be looked at for years, not just glanced at once.
A commissioned piece isn't a reproduction of a photo. It's a translation of a memory into something you can hang on a wall and pass down.
How It Works
1. Consultation We start with a conversation about the story behind the piece. What memory do you want to honour? Who is it for? Where will it live in your home?
2. Concept & Sketch I put together a concept — composition, palette, size — for your approval before any paint goes on canvas. This is your chance to shape the piece before it's underway.
3. Painting Once approved, I begin. You're welcome to see progress photos along the way if you'd like — many collectors love watching a piece come to life.
4. Delivery Your finished painting is carefully packaged and delivered or available for pickup at my King City home studio. For local GTA and cottage-country clients, I'm also happy to hand-deliver and help with placement.
